The word PLEASURE in the English language holds magical power, especially when used in connection with the feminine. Pleasure causes our bodies to relax, our minds to expand and our hearts to open to the adventure of life.

Most women have never been taught to expect their own joy or anticipate their own pleasure. They were educated to look out for others, take care of their needs and then to make due with whatever crumbs were left behind. When a woman begins to reverse the order of things and begins to really pay attention to her own deep pleasure, her life is transformed. She makes sure that her choices feel absolutely right and completely gratifying. From this prospective of deep pleasure, she starts making choices that enhance her own life and improve the lives of all those around her.
In our culture women are still taught that pleasure is frivolous, unproductive and perhaps even dangerous. There are so many negative opinions and concepts associated with pleasure. I believe however that pleasure provides us with one of the most important connection that we can have to the authentic Self. It is the connective tissue between our consciousness, our physical body and our essential life force. It is the source of our passion and our ability to generate an endless supply of joy and enthusiasm for the world around us.
It is easy to live a miserable life of complaint, blame and dissatisfaction. On the other hand, living a pleasured life takes tremendous skill. You have to be so disciplined. Pleasure is not for the meek or timid. Pleasure is the way of the courageous female who chooses to grow beyond the limitations of the current status quo. You have to have a lot of guts to insist on your pleasure. You have to understand that you are your own personal source of fulfillment and joy. You have to give up being a victim of circumstances, culture and upbringing.
